The Armenian Rugs Society has organized a symposium on Armenian rug art, to be held on February 22, 23, and 24, 2013 in Laguna Beach, California. One of their honored guest speakers is an Oriental rug designer, master weaver and restorer of ancient hand woven textiles and rugs Hratch Kozibeyokian. Thirteen years ago, he and his wife, Mira Assadourian, decided to devote themselves to restoration of ancient rugs, creating Ko ‘Z’ Craft, their aerie in the San Fernando Valley community of Shadow Hills. In addition Mr. Kozibeyokian is giving lectures, organizing exhibits, studying and cataloging Armenian rugs. Being a third generation master weaver with more than 40 years hands-on experience, mr. Kozibeyokian is an accomplished craftsman who takes pride in his work.
